Quality Assurance and Testing Director



We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance and Testing Director for a client in the Albany, NY area. Our client is seeking a leader who can implement a formal quality program throughout their organization. Salary is negotiable based on experience.



The Quality Assurance and Testing Director will be responsible for providing a strategic direction for the Quality and Testing departments.

The responsibilities will include:

* Evaluate company processes, procedures and standards
* Recommend improvements to processes
* Provide trending information to senior management
* Supervise, oversee the training and development of employees and issue employment evaluations
* Interact with other members of senior management to ensure that processes and methodologies incorporate change, and testing processes are deployed, understood and remain effective
* Manage research, evaluation and installation of automated testing tools
* Maintain reliable infrastructure to support source code control for all test and production environments



Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree
* ITIL and Six Sigma certifications
* 7+ years experience in an IT Software Quality Assurance and Testing position
* 7+ years of IT managerial experience
* 4+ years supervising a large staff of 30-50 employees
* Experience in working within complex IT testing requirements
* Experience with test management toolsets
* Ability to travel occasionally if needed
