Automation Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to work with a dynamic group of scientific and pharmaceutical professionals, within an industrial operations product supply organization in the Albany, NY area. In this direct hire job opportunity the ideal candidate will be providing technical and automation support to manufacturing and will be responsible for cGMP automation quality systems, software change controls, automation configuration management and automation related corrective actions. Our client is a cGMP industrial operations product supply biopharmaceutical firm that discovers, develops and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions.

This job will require a strong working knowledge of PLC/ HMI programming skills and strong process controls systems and automation experience. In addition, a basic understanding of cGMP and sanitary equipment design requirements and cGMP software quality systems principles will be helpful. A working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software along with strong communications skills are required.

Education and Experience:
BS/BA in Science, Engineering or Software Programming along with 3-5 years of direct experience programming, designing and maintaining industrial controls systems is a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry is required.
