These very old "spectacles" supposedly are from the 1800's and they certainly look it ! The 2 glass ovals are in very good condition with no cracks or scratches and the all metal frames are also well preserved. Instead of ear handles, there is a single thin wire hook on a chain in the shape of an ear that fits over the ear to support the spectacles. The entire frame is only 4" across. The solid metal case is rusty and still has the original deteriorated protective padding for preventing the glass from scratches.
